(I was given the opportunity to design my own pumpkin one afternoon during lunch. Thanks for the orange pieces of paper RRCSA!)

Three
Two photos of my new poorly arranged office, and one conversation.
To make a long story short, I moved all my furniture to one side of my apartment (away from the windows) so it would be warmer. Ironically enough, my bed is now closer to the window than before. My placee looks as though street people have left random furniture scattered on one half of the space.

Purim Costumes
I'm a little concerned over these halloween costumes:
(Grecian Adult Princess Costume) (Athena Adult Plus Costume)
From what I remmeber from Jewish school.. Purim has nothing to do with anything greek. Where Esther, Vashti, Haman, or King Achashvairosh?... or the ever-popular Hamantashen costume?
As a Jewish person, am I supposed to find this offensive?

Twitter is over capacity - too many tweets!

DIM MAK
Working for DIM MAK RECORDS would be my ultimate dream job. The label was founded by Steve Aoki in 1996, and is based out of Los Angeles. Some of the artists/DJs under the label include: Armand Van Helden, AutoErotique, Diplo, Felix Cartal, Laidback Luke, MSTRKRFT, Pase Rock, Steve Aoki, and The Bloody Beetroots, and the late DJ AM.
In addition to the record label, DIM MAK's got their own collection, and DIM MAK TV . The website's packed-full of great music videos, event posters, blogs, tour dates, and whatever else.
This is one of the newer vids that's been released... The Bloody Beetroots are so hardcore, but they're frickin' awesome. I saw them in LA last year at Hard Fest, and they just blew me away. I missed them when they were in Winnipeg in April (due to an IPP panel meeting at 8:15am the next day). To this day, I still regret not going to their show.
What would I want to do with DIM MAK? Besides the obvious communications-related-type work, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's DIM MAK, that's all that matters.

Long Weekends in the Exchange
The Mondays of long weekends are my favourite days ever to be downtown. Everything is closed. It's beautiful and eerie at the same time. The area looks as though life just suddenly ceased to exist.
(corner of Albert St. & McDermot Ave.)
(Albert St. & Bannatyne Ave.)
I took the opportunity to take Boris for a quick walk around the neighbourhood. It was amazing. Aside from my car, there were maybe three other cars parked on the street. No pedestrians, no traffic, no birds, no life.
Just me and my Boris enjoying a brisk fall day.
teef
After all this time, my wisdom teeth have finally started to grow in on the right side of my mouth. Due to having braces for a year in my most crucial (first) year of high school, I don't need to get them pulled, so I have to let them grow in. I'm in agony, and for once, do not feel like talking.
Enjoy the silence (and my bad mood) while you can :|

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool?
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool's - Dance the Way I Feel is my most all-time favourite song right now, I get giddy every time I listen to it. Plus, these boys are kinda really cute...

Brrrrr...
The circut in my room will not. stop. breaking.
I dont know what to do. I woke up twice this morning, freezing because the fuse uncircuited itself, and I had to reset it.
I'm officially living in a cold hole that semi-resembles an apartment. This is my fuse box: I press the little white buttons to reset the power.
(this picture is upside down)
(bzzzzzzzzt)
Maybe if I stuck my finger in here, I would get a little bit warmer. Maybe. Just maybe. Or not.
All I want for Channukah is a warm warm apartment.
Sometimes I dance around my apartment to stay warm. With fall turning into winter, it will soon be too cold to dance.

Momma's House
Due to stuff I don't want to talk about, my mom is making me move back home for the next couple weeks. This is what I'm living with... DIY dinner. Blargh.
I drove to school today, and I hated it. I also have to get up earlier than usual. Bummer.
(Yum?)

Street Time
Lookie lookie what I found outside my buildling on Albert Street...
I really like the people who live in my building.
Also, I dressed nicely for school today (due to a lack of clean casual clothes), which means that I get to spend the rest of my evening taking my dog for a walk downtown dressed like a brown-haired Paris Hilton.
(*a gift given with no hope of profit or return in an imaginary gift.)

(Laur + Bor = BFFs)
pps. sorry for the dreadful state of my apartment. all work and no play (?) makes lauren a messy messy person.

The Shower
I'm not going to lie. I don't cook. I don't clean. I don't even remotely like it.
I can never remember not having a house cleaner. My momma and I are the exact same. We're busy with our lives, and after long days at the hospital/school. Do I want to clean? No. Do I want to cook? No.
I can most definitely tell you that in the four or so months that I have lived in this apartment, I have swept/mopped twice and have never cleaned the bathroom - up until now...
(made for girls like me)
(before)
(after)
(job well done).
I cleaned.
I laughed. I cried. I almost threw up twice.
I hope I never have to do it again.
If you like cleaning, call me.
I'll give you a case of beer.

Hot Hot Heat
After many freezing nights in the apartment, I finally had the time to buy this heater for my place. I'm so stoked on this. No more night of sleeping in half my clothes, hiding under the covers trying to stay warm.
(plz give me your two AAA batteries, so I can have heat control from my bed)

Where's his gear?
I have a really big crush on Tim (aka DJ Co-Op), and I'm really really :(:(:( that someone stole his DJ equipment. Help him out, go to his benefit, and make me :):):)
Friday, October 9 - 3rd Floor above Ragpickers
See you there!
